Atrium Health Levine Cancer's Radiation Oncologyoutpatient services provide advanced, patient-centered care using cutting-edge radiation therapy to treat cancer. With 10 sites across the Charlotte market, each clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including linear accelerators and image-guided systems, allowing for precise targeting of cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. A highly skilled team of radiation oncologists, nurses, dosimetrists, and radiation therapistswork collaboratively to deliver personalized treatment plans that minimize side effects and optimize outcomes.

  • Advanced Treatment Modalities: IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, brachytherapy, proton beam, and gamma knife therapies.

  • Clinical Expertise: Board-certified radiation oncologists with subspecialty training.

We're Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
  • Oncology and triage experience

What You'll Do:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
  • Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
  • Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
  • Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed furtherin the departmental job standards.
