Job description

We are seeking an evening/weekend part time receptionist with prior experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be able to create a great first impression for our customers, be able to interact professionally with a variety of disciplines, have exceptional organizational skills, be flexible, and provide excellent customer service while multi- tasking numerous calls and responding to the needs of our customers. If you’re passionate about geriatric care and thrive in a team-oriented setting, we’d love to have you join our team.

Summary of Position

Provide clerical support; organize and maintain resident, personnel, marketing, and resource files; answer telephones; greet guests; respond to residents’ requests and assist in coordination of services to residents; assist in providing services to residents, families, and guests.

Essential Functions

· Answer telephones and respond to residents’ requests.

· Create and assist in maintaining employee files and records.

· Assist in maintaining resident files.

· Track, employee, inoculation records. Inform appropriate persons of needed updates

· Maintain and report resident census figures.

· Maintain resident apartment insurance.

· Update excel lists for employee and resident files

· Assist staff in providing and coordinating services to residents, families, and guests.

· Assist residents and staff in solving problems.

· Organize office functions and flow of communication.

· Duplicate and distribute information.

· Compose and edit written documents to ensure correct spelling and grammar.

· Create and maintain an environment for residents, families, and guests that is customer-friendly and that values and respects the uniqueness of each individual.

· Sort and distribute mail to individual mailboxes.

· Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors.

· Must be able to react quickly to assist residents when wandering.

Required Skills:

  • 1 to 2 years prior experience performing receptionist duties in professional setting and healthcare experience preferred
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service while multi-tasking numerous calls and responding to the needs of customers visiting our healthcare center
  • Must be able to be quick on your feet
