Job description

Responsibilities

Responsible for the accurate ordering, storage, and monitoring of various classes of supplies. Proposes procurement and storage solutions that will minimize supply expense while maintaining a high level of customer service. Collaborates with department leadership, Materials Management, and vendor representatives to limit the storage of excess inventory; identifies slow-moving inventory and recommends actions to address. As requested, creates and develops reports pertaining to stocking levels and/or financial performance.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field OR five (5) years relevant clinical experience in lieu of degree.

2. Good oral and written communications skills.

3. Knowledge and experience in the usage and application of computers and relevant word processing and spreadsheet programs.

PREFERRED:

  • Previous experience in inventory control and/or process improvement.
  • Previous surgical technologist experience in Surgical Services area.
  • Certification relevant to department in which assigned. (Example: CST or CNOR for Surgery)
