Position Summary:
The Part-Time QA Nurse is a remote-based RN who plays a critical role in ensuring the clinical documentation integrity, regulatory compliance, and accreditation readiness of our Florida-based home health agency. This position focuses on quality assurance review, with a flexible schedule suited to an experienced home health nurse who is self-directed and meticulous. The ideal candidate is skilled in Axxess EMR and well-versed in Joint Commission standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Documentation Review & Compliance
Audit patient charts (SOC, recertification, discharge, PRNs) for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Verify that documentation supports homebound status, medical necessity, and skilled need.
Review and correct OASIS data to ensure accurate PDGM grouping and reimbursement alignment.
2. Axxess EMR Utilization
Use Axxess EMR to monitor documentation timeliness, track deficiencies, and generate QA reports.
Identify and address documentation trends or concerns across disciplines.
3. Joint Commission Accreditation Support
Help maintain agency readiness for Joint Commission audits by conducting documentation reviews and participating in mock surveys.
Support the implementation of corrective actions and integration of regulatory updates into staff workflow.
4. Clinician Support & Education
Provide constructive feedback to field staff to improve documentation quality and regulatory compliance.
Participate in virtual staff education sessions and offer individualized documentation coaching when needed.
5. QAPI & Risk Monitoring
Assist with tracking of infection control incidents, adverse events, and other reportable conditions.
Contribute to QAPI meetings and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate.

Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part-time remote schedule
