Senior Living Billing Coordinator

Full Time | Days (8am- 4pm) | No Weekends!

Pay: Starting rate of $23.75/hr or more based on experience

Our Senior Living Billing Coordinator is responsible for the following:

  • Knowledge of Medical Assistance regulations generally accepted accounting principles, regulations governing resident personal care accounts, and other governmental or industry regulations applicable to Masonic Villages' operations, as appropriate.
  • Medical Assistance/Fraternal Care - responsible to assist residents and families with Medical Assistance, SSI, PACE, and Fraternal care applications, including gathering documentation for new applicants, level of care changes, income changes, and discharges. Complete annual redeterminations as request by Department of Human Services.
  • Billing/Cash receipts/Collections - prepare and send monthly billing as assigned; deposit checks, record cash receipts as appropriate; follow collections procedure for delinquent accounts.
  • Work with Commercial Insurance Coordinator(s) to be an available resource for staff, residents or families who have questions about insurance coverage. Monitor residents' insurance coverage, in conjunction with Commercial billing staff, to ensure residents carry appropriate insurance.

What You Need as a Senior Living Billing Coordinator:

  • Associate degree in accounting preferred or a minimum of two years of accounting experience.
  • Three years of Long-term care billing and Department of Human Services experience preferred.
  • Experience with the Resident Fund Management System (RFMS), PROMISE, and PCC, a plus
  • Proficiency in computer operations. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include spreadsheet development and data analysis functionalities. Efficient management of digital files and databases. Experience with cloud-based collaborative tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) preferred.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, demonstrate a high degree of adaptability, and exhibit meticulous attention to detail.
  • Have a collaborative mindset with strong teamwork capabilities, the ability to think critically, a commitment to professional growth as a curious and continuous learner, and the negotiation and persuasive skills necessary to influence key stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
  • Demonstrates strong time management skills by effectively prioritizing tasks, managing competing demands, and consistently meeting deadlines as assigned. Maintains accountability for deliverables, proactively communicates progress, and ensures timely completion of responsibilities in alignment with team and organizational goals.
