General information Name Senior Data Analyst City Jericho State New York Country United States Full-Time/Part-Time Full-time Job Type Regular Description & Requirements About the Team and Role The Business Intelligence and Data Management team at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM is seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to join an established group focused on enterprise-wide analytics and data management initiatives. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the enterprise data warehouse and all associated extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Key Responsibilities Design, document, develop, and implement new ETL processes and enhancements; modify and optimize existing code Independently develop, configure, unit test, and deploy ETL solutions based on detailed source-to-target mappings Collaborate closely with data analysts, reporting teams, and application developers on integration solutions, providing clear explanation and justification for technical decisions Gather and analyze business and technical requirements; evaluate and recommend viable implementation options Develop and maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation for data quality procedures and processes Design and implement IT controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and outputs Participate in an on-call rotation to support a 24/7 production environment Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) 2 years of hands-on experience with enterprise databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or similar Advanced proficiency in SQL Strong data analysis, profiling, and data quality development skills, including issue management and remediation processes Demonstrated experience with unit testing, release management, change control procedures, and coding/design documentation standards Experience with integration technologies and ETL processes (DBT, Informatica, Coalesce, or similar) Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced Agile environment Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation Preferred Qualifications Experience developing ETL solutions using RESTful APIs Experience with Python for data processing and automation Why Join Us At 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, you'll be part of a collaborative Business Intelligence and Data Management team supporting enterprise-wide analytics initiatives.
