County Public Health Outreach Worker
Part-Time, Temporary
Job Overview
We are seeking two Public Health Outreach workers for Muskegon County Public Health. A Public Outreach worker will assist with community outreach efforts to fulfill health grant requirements and response efforts to increase community-based organization efforts in endeavors to address gaps in services, improve communication between health and human service agencies and increase capacity to serve in improving overall community health.
Job Description
Public Health Outreach workers will play a key role in promoting health and addressing social determinants of health through active engagement with the community at various events. The successful candidate will have excellent public speaking skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Setting up events (tents, tables, chairs, etc)
  • Engaging with constituents and promoting health awareness
  • Promote resources within the health department and other health and human service agencies
  • Must be able to use a computer and be efficient with Excel/Word programs & email
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Must be reliable
