Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Center for Psychiatric Research (CPR) is seeking a highly motivated individual to work in a fast-paced clinical research setting primarily responsible for data collection for multiple interventional psychiatry research studies. The Research Coordinator performs varied data collection tasks for the clinical research protocol. This includes collecting, processing, and coordinating a range of data under the established protocol regarding method, process, and technique including collection of data from behavioral assessments, neuropsychological testing, and neuroimaging, blood sampling, as well as acquiring technical data during interventional treatment sessions, including electroencephalography, functional near infrared spectroscopy, and others. Work will be at locations on UNM campus and at off-site research locations. Will perform preliminary data manipulation, assist in the execution of standard research protocol and may participate in routine data analysis. The Research Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining research equipment.
This position works in a clinical research setting and will report directly to the Research Operations Manager and Principle Investigator. The available position is for a multi-year grant. Traveling to various clinical and research areas will be required.

Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required, dependent on the nature of the research conducted, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding ofinterventional psychiatry research, especially TMS, psychedelics,neurofeedback.
  • Relevant education in a relatedscientific or mathematic field.
  • Ability to maintain highquality and safety standards; meticulousness for detail and accuracy.
  • Experience collecting and processing research data and clearly recording findings.
  • Experience in COINS, REDCAP,other databases is a plus.
  • Working knowledge and understandingof scientific research methodology.
  • Ability to constructspreadsheets, organize data, analyze and interpret statistical data, and reportdata and outcomes in written and graphical formats.
  • Advanced skills with MS Word,Powerpoint, Excel
  • Working knowledge ofneuroimaging and neurodiagnostic research techniques, instrumentation, and/orequipment, especially MRI, EEG, FNIRS.
  • Experience with statisticalcomputer software, especially SAS, SPSS, R, or other similar programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills-prior experience working with psychiatric clinical populations demonstratingability to respond compassionately and empathetically to persons in distress.
