Self-Storage Part-Time Assistant Store Manager Scope of Position
The Part-Time Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in supporting the Store Manager, Area Manager, and District Manager to achieve the store's goals. This position involves collaborating closely with the team to enhance sales and customer acquisition and manage vendor relationships, contributing to the store's overall success. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager is involved in executing departmental projects and initiatives, always emphasizing teamwork by working effectively with staff and customers. Our office operates on weekends, yet we offer flexible scheduling options to promote a balanced work-life for our team.

    Part-Time Assistant Store Manager Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum (1) year of experience in storage, retail, or hospitality.

    • Assists in reaching out to potential clients to confirm their moving dates and ensure their storage units are ready and secure.
    • Aids in managing the accounts of past-due tenants and supports the efficient processing of paperwork for the lien/auction process.
    • Contributes to providing exceptional customer service, aiming to exceed client expectations and address their needs effectively.
    • Conducts daily property inspections alongside the team to maintain security, cleanliness, and proper upkeep. This includes checking locks, cleaning units, stocking supplies, and performing light maintenance tasks.
    • Performs light gardening work.
    • Utilizes power tools for general maintenance of property and grounds.
    • Uses both cleaning and property maintenance chemicals for cleanliness and overall aesthetics.
    • Communicates updates, results, and recommendations to the Store Manager and the Leadership Team clearly and effectively.
    • Be prepared to occasionally travel to other nearby locations to assist with scheduled shifts.
    • Shows flexibility in scheduling, being available for weekend and holiday work as needed,
    • based on the facility manager's hours and team schedules.
