Summary of Duties
The Accounting Assistant works closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable on month-end and year-end processes. They assist with financial tracking, reporting, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy. As a core member of Central Services, this person is committed to stewarding the church's resources in a manner that is honoring to God to carry out the mission of CTK.
Essential Functions
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable functions:
    • Weekly count of cash and check offerings
    • Cash and check bank deposits
    • Donor letters and acknowledgements
    • Mid-year and year-end giving statements
  • Assist with Accounts Payable functions:
    • Cash card management, including PEX and gift cards
    • Purchase orders and procurement
    • Expense budget templates and tracking
    • Invoice scanning and organization
    • Check printing and mailing
    • 1099/W9 paperwork and filing
  • Serve as backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Create giving reports and financial metrics, ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the Finance Director.
  • Attendance at necessary staff and departmental meetings.

Requirements
