Job Description General Plant LaborHousekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.Shovel and clean up spills in the plantKeep barrels emptied of trash and productClean equipment from top to bottomHelp unstop screw conveyorsCut plastic and product off of screwKeep Floor drains cleaned out and covers on drainsExpected to perform other duties as assignedOversees rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storageQualificationsPrior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferredKnowledge of mechanical rendering and or process equipment Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipmentAbility to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situationsAbility to work nights and/or weekends as neededAbility to read and writeAbility to climb stairs and silosAbility to stand for entire shiftAbility to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
