The position: We're looking for an Assistant Procurement and Contracts Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who can, under general direction, oversee agency-wide procurement and contract operations to ensure compliance and strong internal controls. The role manages consultant and service contracts, goods and materials procurement, and corporate card programs while supporting centralized processes, documentation, and continuous improvement.

It also ensures proper disposition of agency assets and surplus goods in accordance with required standards. The Location: 101 Elliott Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119 The ideal candidate will have: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Finance, Acquisition, Procurement, Contract Management, Government Contracting, or a closely related field or an additional four years of directly relevant work experience may be substituted for the required degree. Six years of progressive procurement experience, including contract management, project management, and supervision.

Experience with public procurement processes and knowledge of relevant Federal, State, and HUD regulations is preferred. While these requirements are the traditional standards for developing the skills required for this classification, any combination of experience, training, and education that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the classification may be considered. What will you do.

Collaborate with the Procurement and Contracts Manager to develop operational policies and procedures. Oversee assigned programs to ensure purchasing and contract compliance. Lead and develop procurement staff through guidance, training, and consistent policy application.

Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements. Provide agency-wide training and resources to support compliance. Oversee the disposition of agency assets and surplus goods in line with policies and regulations.

Support development of goals, work plans, performance measures, and continuous improvement efforts. Work collaboratively, follow direction, and maintain performance under pressure. Ensure adherence to all safety and health standards.
