  • Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
  • Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
  • Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
  • Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
  • Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
  • Playing a key role in your store's leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
  • We're looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.

  • NHS performer number (or working towards it)
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration

It would be great if you also have
  • Experience supporting enhanced services
  • A strong understanding of local clinical networks

Where your brilliance can take you
At Boots Opticians, your clinical career can go in many directions - from delivering enhanced services and supporting pre-reg development, to regional clinical leadership or professional training roles, or even owning your own Boots Opticians store through our Franchise Academy. Whatever path you choose, we'll help you get there.
Rewards designed for you
  • Competitive base salary
  • Boots Retirement Savings Plan (up to 12% company contribution)
  • Reimbursement of GOC and professional indemnity fees
  • CPD days throughout the year
  • Performance-based quarterly bonus
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay
  • Generous employee discounts for you and a family member
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays (pro-rata)
  • Flexible benefits scheme - discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes, and more
  • 70% discount on glasses and exclusive Boots UK savings
