The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in security engineering to safeguard our nation? As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the security architecture and tools needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions for the financial industry.
On our team, you'll provide cybersecurity engineering support for secure systems in cloud and in-premises environments. You'll provide a blend of strategic thinking, programmatic support, and technical execution, and design and implement security controls to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements. You'll work across teams to embed security into all aspects of IT operations and development lifecycles. You'll also implement cybersecurity protocols to strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data, and aligning cybersecurity operations with federal standards such as FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP.

You Have:
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, M365, VMware, or Citrix
  • Experience supporting cyber risk management, security operations, incident response, or cybersecurity remediation efforts
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements, including NIST SP 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), FISMA, and FedRAMP
  • Knowledge of networking, system hardening, secure system design, and secure system administration
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED and 14+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or cybersecurity roles, Associate's degree and 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or cybersecurity roles, or Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or cybersecurity roles

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and managing security tools such as EDR, SIEM, and IDS/IPS, while working in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Experience supporting federal government clients or systems operating under federal regulations
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
  • Knowledge of system automation using scripting languages such as PowerShell, JSON, Python, or Bash
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, Security+, CySA+, or M365 Security Specialty Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
