Position Description:- Minimum of 3 years work experience with a professional residential or commercial plumbing company is required.
- Valid Oklahoma Journeyman's or Contractor's License is required.
- Must possess exceptional math skills and the ability to teach this knowledge to apprentice plumbers.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others.
- Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- The work schedule for this position requires flexibility to work two nights per week, 6 - 10pm, as scheduled throughout the spring, summer and fall semesters
Essential Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
- Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
- Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
- Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
- Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. - prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent.
Shift: Evening
Salary Schedule:Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees
Hiring Range:$40 per hour
