Job description

Specialised Part-Time Consulting Opportunity for Experienced Clinical PharmacologistsWe are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced clinical pharmacologists with substantial expertise in pre-market drug development, PK/PD analysis, dose selection, exposure-response modelling, and clinical pharmacology strategy.

This role supports advanced clinical research workflows involving the generation and validation of pharmacology data across Phase Iโ€“III programmes. Selected experts will help develop clinically plausible PK/PD datasets, dosing and escalation regimens, exposure-response relationships, and pharmacology-focused reference materials that remain consistent with efficacy and safety outputs.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Pharmacology Data GenerationDevelop and validate synthetic clinical pharmacology datasetsCreate realistic PK and PD data aligned with study protocols and development objectivesEnsure dosing, concentration, efficacy, and safety information reconcile across the broader clinical data packageReview generated pharmacology outputs for clinical plausibility and internal consistencyIdentify unrealistic exposure patterns, dosing assumptions, or pharmacodynamic relationshipsPK/PD AnalysisApply hands-on expertise in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamicsEvaluate concentration-time profiles, exposure metrics, and pharmacodynamic responsesReview relationships between dose, exposure, response, and safetyAssess whether proposed PK/PD interpretations are supported by the underlying dataIdentify inconsistencies or unsupported conclusions in pharmacology analysesDose Selection & EscalationDevelop and review dose-selection rationales for clinical programmesEvaluate dose-escalation strategies and supporting evidenceAssess starting-dose, escalation, expansion, and recommended-dose decisions where relevantIntegrate PK, PD, efficacy, and safety information into dose rationaleApply practical judgement from pre-market clinical developmentExposure-Response AnalysisDevelop and assess exposure-response relationships across efficacy and safety endpointsEvaluate whether modelled relationships are biologically and clinically credibleReview assumptions, covariates, and interpretation of concentration-response findingsIdentify overextended or unsupported conclusionsTranslate quantitative findings into clear clinical-development recommendationsDrug Interaction AssessmentDevelop and review content involving drug-drug interactionsEvaluate pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interaction risksAssess drug-disease interactions and clinically relevant population effectsReview implications for dosing, monitoring, and study designEnsure recommendations are appropriately supported by available evidenceBioanalytical & Concentration DataReview bioanalytical reports and concentration datasets for consistencyAssess whether assay outputs and concentration data support downstream PK analysisIdentify implausible values, missing relationships, or reconciliation issuesEvaluate how bioanalytical limitations affect pharmacology conclusionsEnsure concentration data remain traceable across related analyses and outputsClinical Pharmacology Task DevelopmentDesign realistic clinical pharmacology assignments based on Phase Iโ€“III workflowsDevelop tasks involving dose rationale, PK/PD interpretation, exposure-response, and interaction assessmentProduce authoritative reference outputs for complex pharmacology scenariosDefine objective criteria for evaluating technical accuracy, completeness, and clinical reasoningCreate tasks that reflect how experienced clinical pharmacologists work in practiceIdeal Profile5+ years of professional clinical pharmacology experience, with 10โ€“25 years preferredDemonstrated experience supporting pre-market Phase Iโ€“III clinical programmesStrong hands-on expertise in PK/PD analysisDirect experience with dose selection and dose-escalation strategyStrong experience with exposure-response analysisComfortable working from clinical protocols and Statistical Analysis PlansExperience developing pharmacology outputs that integrate with efficacy and safety datasetsFirst-in-human clinical development experience is strongly preferredPharmD, PhD in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, or a related field, MD, or equivalent advanced qualificationStrong quantitative and clinical judgementExcellent written communication and ability to explain complex pharmacology conclusions preciselyBased in the United States, Canada, or FranceEngagement DetailsPart-time independent contractor engagementFully remoteMinimum availability of approximately 20โ€“25 hours per weekAvailability of 30+ hours per week is preferredFlexible scheduling based on project requirementsCompensation: $110โ€“$160/hourWork may include pharmacology data generation, PK/PD analysis, dose-rationale development, reference-output creation, and evaluation designProjects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performanceWork must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, sponsor, client, institution, or other third partyH1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagementAbout the PlatformThis opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
