Job description

Shift: 1 weekend per month 8:00AM - 4:00PM EST
Position Goal
Under close supervision of a physical therapist of physical therapist assistant, perform only delegated, selected or routine tasks in specific situations. These duties include preparing the patient and treatment area, assisting the patients with non-clinical needs, and various clerical and administrative items. The PT Tech shall respect the rights and dignity of all individuals and shall provide compassionate care and act in a trustworthy manner towards patients and in all other aspects of physical therapy service.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Clean office and equipment daily, including stairs, walkers and crutches
  • Delivers therapy supplies to patient rooms
  • Re-orders supplies as needed
  • Assists therapists in transferring patients and in therapy activities as directed by the therapist
  • Enter charges for PT/OT
  • Routinely check Discharge Board and RN station for Doctor's orders and add information to the therapists' schedules.
  • Perform general clerical functions as necessary including filing, copying and transcription of evaluations, physician letters, progress notes, discharge summaries and related correspondence.

Experience: No experience required
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, some college with a focus in either OT or PT preferred.
Special Qualifications: BLS required
