Job Description:
At the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home (ENVH) we are proud to serve America's Heroes and US Veterans. We are looking for a driven, positive person to join the Department of Veterans Affairs and ENVH team.
The individual in this administrative position will perform public access work by receiving, screening, and routing telephone callers, visitors, and/or electronic communications and answering basic/routine questions; performs routine clerical and mail-related support work.
JOB DUTIES: Provide clerical support and perform a wide-variety of duties that include greeting people, in person and by phone. Operate a multi-line phone system, direct inquiries, process incoming and outgoing mail, and monitor security system. Operate various office machines such as copy machine, fax, scanner, and computer. General office duties such as typing, filing, and scanning.
WAGE/SALARY INFORMATION: Total Hourly Rate: $18.338. Breakdown: $15.338/hr (base) + $3.00/hr (Differential)
Requirements/ Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.
Preferred Qualification: Applicants must have strong knowledge and experience working with Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel; two years of office experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Work efficiently in a face-paced environment where priorities can change suddenly. Ability to adapt quickly to changes.
This part time position is scheduled 16 hours every two weeks. This is a great part time position for a college student or individual looking for a part time job. Position is eligible for vacation/sick/holiday time.
Every-Other Saturday and Sunday 2:15pm - 10:45pm
