Overview

Fitness Together is not your typical gym, it's a personalized, premium, one on one wellness solution. Our Personal Trainers create a welcoming environment in our 1:1 training suites, where clients are empowered to take back their health so they can have the energy to do what they love.

Fitness Together ย Newton is looking for a Personal Trainer who is passionate about coaching the other personal trainers on the team to continuously improve their knowledge and skills. Fitness Together Personal Trainers genuinely care about making a difference in the lives of clients and take pride in their work by providing an exceptional client experience that leaves a lasting impact. They empower commitment by holding clients accountable to their goals, and constantly go above and beyond to encourage progress over perfection. In addition, the Personal Trainer Lead is responsible for assisting the Studio Manager with recruitment, hiring and training new Personal Trainers on the Fitness Together client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design safe and effective fitness programs accommodating the unique needs and goals of each Fitness Together client
  • Educate and empower clients with a clear understanding of their fitness program, so that they are motivated to stay committed to their plan outside
  • Express a positive attitude and show regular appreciation to clients and team membersย 
  • Create unique, memorable and personal experiences for clientsย 
  • Interact with clients and team members without judgement, and express empathy for those around themย 
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration to meet the needs of those around themย 
  • Always maintain a space of cleanliness and ensure a safe and accident-free environmentย 
  • Professionally represent yourself through your appearance, language and behaviorย 
  • Express patience and determination to hold clients accountable to reaching their goalsย 
  • Constantly look for ways to enhance your skills to grow as an expert in your fieldย 
Qualifications
  • Degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
  • Certification (NASM, ACSM, or similar level of certification)
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
  • 1 year of personal training and program design experience preferredย 
  • Preferred experience working with special populationsย 
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team environmentย 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to each client's individual needs
  • Must have the emotional stamina to be "at your best" with each client
  • Ability to motivate and coach clients, in order to ensure continuous progress
  • Ability to motivate, direct, lead a group, and delegate tasksย 
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions (written and verbal)ย 
  • Ability to remain flexible in a constantly changing environment
