What We're Looking For

Responsible for providing educational development of nursing and other clinical staff within Highpoint Health by providing staff development as an educator, facilitator, change agent, coordinator, and leader.

Essential Functions Additional Information

Participates in the delivery of nursing staff orientation and education activities, including inservices, mock events and new product roll-outs. Delivers learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies, as designed by the director and competency manager. Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Supports the competency manager with competency review and submission. Assists with Student Placement program, as assigned. Provides support by proctoring student exams, as needed. Supports and coaches employees needing assistance with completion of RQI mannequin check-off.

Qualification and requirements: 

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing - Required

  • 5 years clinical experience as an RN, preferably in an acute care setting which includes 3 years training experience.

  • BLS & ACLS certification from approved AHA training center must be obtained within 6 months of employment. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor cards preferred. 

  • Licenses: TN or compact state RN licensure required.
