Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics

Commitment Bonus: $20,000 two-year commitment

Nights Full Time 6:30/7:00 Rotating Weekends

How you'll contribute

  • Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Supervises, teaches, and delegates to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
  • Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
  • Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs,
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting the patient's rights

What we are looking for:

Education:

  • Associate's degree Required; bachelor's degree Preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License:

  • Current RN to practice in the state of KY
  • BCLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire

Certifications:

  • BCLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
