The Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a clinical resource within MaineHealth ambulatory Pediatric Specialty Care in Portland, ME, providing comprehensive, family-centered nursing support across multiple pediatric specialty divisions. This benefits-eligible position delivers direct patient care, conducts assessments and triage, coordinates care, administers medications and treatments, and provides education to patients and families. This Registered Nurse will collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care while adapting to the unique workflows and patient populations of various specialty clinics. The position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to float between divisions to meet operational and patient care needs.
Summary:
The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $34.35 to $46.46 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
