Familiarity with assistive devices, mobility aids, and electronic documentation systems is typically required. Their duties often include helping with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. Part-time PCAs work flexible schedules that may include evenings or weekends, depending on the client's needs. They can work in private homes, assisted living facilities, or other care settings, and may be employed by agencies or directly by clients. This role is essential in helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
