Since 1962, the Lutheran Community at Telford has provided exceptional services for seniors located in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Telford offers a full continuum of care, from independent residential cottages and convenient apartment homes to comfortable personal care accommodations. Shepherd Way memory support neighborhood and our Healthcare Pavilion give individuals access to the health care and support they need at all hours. The dedicated staff ensures that residents enjoy the best quality of life while maintaining the highest possible level of independence.
Founded in 1935, the Community at Rockhill is a residential community for adults 65 and older located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a Life Plan Community, Rockhill offers a continuum of care that includes Residential Living, Personal Care for adults who need assistance with daily activities, and Health Care for individuals in need of 24-hour support.
Position Summary
The Grant Writer is responsible for helping to further the fundraising goals of Grace Inspired Living by finding grants and other funding opportunities for Grace Inspired Living, The Community at Rockhill and Lutheran Community at Telford. In addition to writing and submitting grant proposals the Grant Writer would participate in various fundraising activities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization.
• Identify new funding sources and conduct prospect research.
• Participate in fundraising activities/events.
Grant Development (Pre-Award):
• Craft compelling grant proposals ensuring required internal approvals and alignment with institutional priorities.
• Edit and prepare proposal narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation as needed.
• Monitor and share relevant grant opportunities with staff, coordinating with the Director of Development on strategic alignment.
• Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies
• Follow up with grant-making organizations during their review of a submitted grant application to supply additional supportive material if requested.
Grant Administration (Post-Award):
• Monitor active grants to ensure compliance with funder requirements, project deliverables, and timelines.
• Collaborate with the finance department to manage grant budgets, ensure expenditures are accurate, modifications are submitted, and awards are properly closed out.
• Maintain tracking systems for grant performance, compliance documentation, and reporting.
• Prepare and submit timely interim and final reports to funders.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, creative writing or a related area
  • A minimum of one year experience in grant writing (senior living/healthcare industry preferred)
