Atrium Health and Levine Cancer are seeking Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with a genuine passion for elevating hope and health for our patients. Our practice is growing and we have new opportunities available in the Charlotte, NC region, specifically at our Gastonia clinic.
Levine Cancer is the largest and most comprehensive oncology team in the region, and our gynecologic oncology practice provides care for over 1700 new gynecologic oncology patients, performs over 1300 surgical procedures, and administers over 3300 chemotherapy cycles annually. We perform open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches to complex surgical procedures and have a complete clinical trials portfolio, including Phase 1, first-in-human, and cooperative group trials. We are an academic-community hybrid program committed to clinical, educational, and research excellence with regional and national leadership. We have robust clinical activity, a residency program with 24 residents annually, and an active research program with clinical and translational research.
We are seeking an additional Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our group of 3 Advanced Practitioners, 3 fellows, and 6 physicians in the Charlotte, NC area. We provide inpatient care at two hospitals, including Carolinas Medical Center, our 874-bed flagship hospital in Charlotte, NC, and Atrium Health Cabarrus, our 457-bed tertiary care institution in Concord, NC. In addition, we provide outpatient care at two additional Levine Cancer locations in Ballantyne and Gastonia. Levine Cancer encompasses more than 25 sites across multiple states, offering a broad referral network and an extensive regional presence.
Position Description:
  • Outpatient Clinic
  • Part-time position. Schedule may vary by location and will be established based on patient volume and clinic needs.
  • No Call. No Weekends.
  • Teaching opportunities with residents and/or ACP Fellows
  • $2500/ 5 days of CME
  • Support for clinical practice is extensive, with 3 advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, chemotherapy coordinators, schedulers, and navigators; support for research is comprehensive, with statisticians, research nurses, and translational science partners.
  • Team of 6 gynecologic oncologists and 3 fellows.

Position Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
  • Nurse practitioners are required to have a master's degree or doctorate in nursing practice
  • Certification as nurse practitioner from a nationally recognized certifying body required
  • Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Current or pending CAQ certification preferred
  • +1 years of APP experience required.
  • NC Licensure
  • Sign on bonus and relocation offered for candidates outside the market
