Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Instruct students to incorporate knowledge of basic and advanced emergency medical care for critically ill and emergent patients.
  • Develop EMS curricula meeting the approval of the State of Nevada Emergency Medical Services Program.
  • Interact with representatives from Nevada State Emergency Medical Services to ensure student eligibility for EMS certification in the State of Nevada.
  • Participate in faculty meetings as requested.
  • Participate in student retention activities as requested.
  • Promote college educational programs and services to the communities served by WNC.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the specified discipline or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Current license as an A-EMT or license as a Paramedic.
  • Current EMS Instructor Certification required.
  • Five years active experience in the EMS field within the past ten years.
  • Experience teaching EMT courses at a college level.
  • The appointee must be able to work in a latex environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluency in Spanish
