Company Description 

Mercana is one of North America’s leading home furnishings wholesalers, with interior designers and retail partners around the globe. As a “design-first” company, we produce unique pieces for the home each season, including wall art, furniture, lighting, and home decor accessories. 

We are seeking a hardworking and positive individual to join our Warehouse Team. This team plays a crucial role in managing the inventory and movement of our products. The successful candidate will be a well-organized team player who prioritizes safety while pursuing quality work. Above all, they have a positive attitude, contributingto our respectful work environment. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Efficiently pick and pack orders for shipment on time. 

  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and product integrity. 

  • Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage orders. 

  • Assist with stocking and organizing inventory within the distribution center. 

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely. 

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing heavy lifting and loading/unloading tasks. 

  • The manager may assign additional tasks.

Qualifications: 

  • Positive attitude and reliable 

  • Basic computer acumen -will be interacting with our internal shipping/picking order management system.

  • Must have experience with picking and packing products 

  • Candidates must be physically fit, as there is repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting 

  • Must be able to work with furniture products, some weighing up to 300lbs, with appropriate support equipment 

  • Experience participating in inventory counts is an asset
  • Comfort operating at heights of up to 30 ft on secure safety equipment 

  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required 

  • Reliable Transportation to/from the facility is an asset 

  • Steel-toed safety shoes are required. Additional PPE will be provided.
