Job description

Part Time With Benefits

Job Summary:  Responsible for receiving and delivering supplies and equipment for all areas of the hospital, including off campus sites.  Dispensing and tracking office supplies and forms from the Office Supply Inventory.  Accesses all purchase orders in the computer and documenting receipts.

Job Responsibilities:

1.    Performs duties related to receiving and distribution of supplies and equipment according to policies and procedures, including: greeting truck drivers on arrival, receiving incoming freight, checking for appropriate address and any damage. Checks packing slips and matches to items received, noting discrepancies. Completes receiving report.
2.    Forwards completed PO’s to purchasing, noting any problems.  If there is no PO reference, documents in the Delivery log for signature when delivered.
3.    Delivers supplies promptly to appropriate areas and gets appropriate signatures.
4.    Maintains stock level of office supplies and forms kept in house.
5.    Makes pick-ups and deliveries outside of the hospital. Packaging and shipping UPS and Fed Ex items.
6.    Keeps receiving area clean and equipment secure, including empting cardboard bailer, properly disposing of all trash and boxes. Secures equipment and supplies at end of shift.

 

Education Requirements and Other Requirements:

Education Level: High School diploma or equivalent. 
Certification/Licensure: n/a

Experience Requirements:  Previous experience in Receiving.  Ability to read and follow directions.  Basic math abilities required.  Basic knowledge of computers.  Must have good communication skills.  Must be able to organize and prioritize work. Takes initiative without direction.

Working Conditions:  Extensive walking, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting of items weighing in excess of 50 pounds.  Working in all types of weather to receive supplies and equipment.
