Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality at the new Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy? Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Server to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Your efforts significantly influence the unique and distinctive experiences we seek to deliver to our guests and team members alike. We're looking for someone who wants to be a part of something bigger and shares our passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences, nurturing a vibrant company culture, and building strong connections with our communities.


  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
  • Set tables according to service standards.
  • Answer questions on menu selections to guests.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Record transaction in POS system at time of order.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights and fire pit, looking all doors etc.
  • Present physical and accurate check – 2 copies to guests and process payments.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Run food and bus tables when you find extra time.
  • Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by company policy.
  • Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the employee handbook.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes at Hotel Polaris.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

  • At least one (1) year food & beverage experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess valid TIPS card upon hire.
  • Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
