Details

  • Position type: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant.

  • Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
  • Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
  • Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Active Alaska Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant license or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification: AANPCB, ANCC, or NCCPA board certification.
  • Experience:

    • Prior clinical experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred; behavioral health experience a plus.
    • New graduates with relevant clinical training and strong interest in behavioral health will be considered.
