Job description

PRIDESTAFF is seeking a PART-TIME Order Entry Rep. for a manufacturing client located in Willowbrook, IL.
This is a part-time role consisting of ~20 hours per week
Hours can be flexible
There is a possibility of converting to full-time eventually
$20-$23 per hour DOE
The primary function of this position is to serve and interact with customers by entering orders, answering inquiries received via phone, email or from internal channels, determining requirements, resolving problems, fulfilling requests, and maintaining customer information.
Job Functions:

  • Review and enter customer orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Recognize and resolve order issues related to product pricing, terms, customer quotes, profiles, and order details
  • Communicate discrepancies or concerns as required
  • Work directly with other internal support teams, Sales team, customers, and vendors as required
  • Review and enter customer orders from various EDI and 3rd party order management systems
  • Enter new customers into business system
  • Enter various information into business system including case management
  • Process both domestic and international sales orders
  • Work with operations to meet shipment deadlines
  • Provide necessary shipment paperwork, invoices, and shipment quotes
  • Communicate shipment data and documents to customers, including shipping status and tracking numbers
  • Prepare custom international shipment documents & standard commercial invoices
  • Send shipment documents via e-mail to customers for customs clearance
  • Respond to a wide range of customer requests via phone and e-mail
  • Resolve or escalate appropriate shipping issues with customs / lost packages / documentation
  • Issue RMAs for credit and return instructions as needed
  • Coordinate shipments with standard and special instructions such as order consolidation
  • Other projects as assigned


Job Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years data entry/customer service experience in a professional setting REQUIRED
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, Degree preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing question, understand concerns, and overcome obstacles/objections
  • Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone
  • Ability to learn and navigate new software/business changes quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task/manage multiple projects at one
  • Knowledge of Windows based software programs including MS Office and MS Outlook
  • Knowledge of business systems Epicor a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate with customers via phone, email and in person
