Description and FunctionsOpen Until FilledGENERAL DESCRIPTION: Fulfill your passion for being a nurse, and in turn, we will provide you with a comprehensive benefits package. The Wyoming Retirement Center is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse ready to provide excellent healthcare services. The Wyoming Retirement Center is a long-term care facility. This position requires an RN to provide quality health care to persons with mental health, dementia, and medical needs in a home-like setting. Our goal is to stabilize and help the people we care for attain their highest functional level. This is a Part-Time position.

- Provides professional nursing services in chronic as well as acute care settings.
- Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
- Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Assists with ADL (Activities of Daily Living).
- Trains and assigns work to LPNs and CNAs.
QualificationsPREFERENCES: Although preference may be given to individuals with six (6) months of experience in a long-term care setting, new graduates are welcome to apply.
KNOWLEDGE: - Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, techniques of professional nursing, and Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
- Knowledge of medication administration and mathematical calculations for the correct dosage.
- Knowledge of the aging process, medical problems, diseases, and behavioral issues.
- Knowledge of work management and leadership theory and practice.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare.
- Knowledge of the ability to function and make decisions in high-stress situations.
- Knowledge of good oral and written communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical terminology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor's Degree (typically in Nursing)
Experience:0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
OREducation & Experience Substitution:3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN

Necessary Special RequirementsPHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Lift/transfer persons in our care to different positions.
- Lift persons and/or medical equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about fifty (50) lbs.
- Work holidays, evenings, nights, and /or weekends as scheduled.
NOTES:- FLSA: Non-Exempt.
- The position is part-time, requiring 24-32 hours per week.
- For the health and protection of the persons in our care, annual influenza vaccination and annual testing for tuberculosis are required.
- Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19.
- A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
