About the Role:

Affordable Metal Manufacturing is seeking a Standing Seam Machine Operator for our Production Facility located in Muscatine, Iowa. The machine is a vital part of our business. A machine operator must be able to master the operation of this machine and be comfortable with the many different scenarios that may arise on a job site. This operator becomes the face of Affordable Metal when rolling on-site; the operator must be customer service oriented, friendly, and willing to help customers with scenarios that arise on-site.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain Standing Seam machine in a safe and efficient manner
  • Monitor machine during operation and make adjustments as needed
  • Use good customer service when communicating with customers and employees
  • Ensure each job site is cleaned up
  • Follow production schedules and ensure the timely completion of tasks
  • Keep accurate records of production data, coil inventory, and machine maintenance
  • Keep machine and any workstations clean and organized make it your own
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines as they arise
  • Maintain tool inventory and stay up to date on changes in production technology and techniques
  • As schedule permits, assist production shop with any needs that arise

Role Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Part-time with possibility of Full-time (delivery driver responsibilities)
  • Willingness to drive distance and stay overnight for multi-day on-site jobs
  • Must have experience hauling and backing up with bumper-to-bumper trailers
  • Machine Operation experience preferred
  • Mechanical Maintenance experience is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
