Job description

A busy Southern NJ Neurology and Pain Management medical practice is looking to hire an EMG/NCV Electrodiagnostic Technician. The multi-disciplinary practice has been in the same location for over 33 years and has a full team of Physicians, Nurses and Technicians in place. The candidate should have at least 1 year experience working in the position of a Technician and be able to work in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

The position is being offered at full-time but could be flexible with part-time hours for the right candidate. The practice offers competitive salary along with full benefits and a 401k program and generous paid time off.

The technician would be asked to consult with the treating physician about the appropriateness of the diagnostic study, interpretation of the studies, or technical problems. Technician would prepare a summary report of the electrophysiological data and compiles representative original recordings. Uploads EMG/nerve conduction data and reports into the online medical record system.

Technician would be responsible in helping with the proper maintenance and function of the equipment used in the laboratory. Conducts quality control testing of equipment as necessary. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Vocational or Technical training in Electromyography Technician Training Program preferred.

-Perform Nerve Conduction studies to measure muscle and nerve responses

-Prepare patient for needle electromyography EMG performed by physician

-One (1) year of experience preferred

-Highly effective verbal communication skills with both patients and physicians

-Knowledge of EMG machines
