Part TimeAssistant Teachers

Position Summary/Description:

  • All educator positions work under the general direction of the Early Learning Center Director and depending on classroom role, will be responsible for; the education, supervision and care of children, curriculum planning, family engagement in the Early Learning Center classroom.
  • This is an opportunity to be part of the high quality state of the art Early Learning Center, promoting YMCA Core Values and encouraging lifelong learning while providing families with new opportunities for lasting personal and social change.
  • Successful applicants will be committed to the mission of the SOUTH SHORE YMCA and the YMCA's impact in these three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
  • All educators employed by the South Shore YMCA Early Learning Center will be required to successfully complete the following trainings: CPR/First Aid, OSHA and Emergency Procedures, Child Abuse Prevention and Reporting, new employee orientation and South Shore YMCA Early Learning Center orientation including all EEC requirements such as online medical training, PQ registration, and professional development trainings.
