About Gravitas

Gravitas is the online program of The Stony Brook School. Courses may include Pre-Algebra I, Pre-Algebra II, Algebra I, and other middle and upper school mathematics offerings as assigned.

Beyond live instruction, faculty invest meaningfully in students through thoughtful preparation, timely and substantive feedback, and availability outside of class. Part-time Mathematics faculty also contribute to the life of the Gravitas community by collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development and professional growth, and by supporting student activities and clubs as needed. Some classes may occur during evening hours, typically 8:00pm and 9:30pm US Eastern Time.
