• Career and Technical Institute Instructor for Network Security Specialist will report directly to the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Program Supervisor and will deliver high-quality classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction. Instruction is provided using an approved curriculum and industry-relevant training materials to prepare students for entry-level employment in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity industry.

Job Description
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis.
• Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness.
• Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking.
• Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction.
• Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress.
• Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.
Minimum Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in the field.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations and document student progress.
• Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Industry-recognized cybersecurity or networking certifications (such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CySA+, or equivalent) and demonstrated professional experience in information technology, networking, cybersecurity, or related fields are preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• This position requires mobility throughout the campus.
• Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while teaching in a classroom and lab settings.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move program related equipment or training materials up to 50lbs.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to install, configure, troubleshoot, and demonstrate networking hardware, computer systems, and related training equipment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach when demonstrating related technical training in a lab environment.
