Position Summary

AV Staff members set up and operate the video, audio, and lighting equipment used to enhance live events. This is an on-call as needed position.

This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00

About the Venue

Located in the heart of Cumberland County, the Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art, five-venue complex comprised of a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square-foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space, and a 2,440-seat theater.

Responsibilities
  • Install a printer, scanner, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Set up and operate the video, audio, and lighting equipment used to enhance live events.
  • Work on-call flexible shifts, days off, and long hours as needed.
  • Provide lateral service to other departments with different job characteristics.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues, instantly pinpointing faults and remedies during an event under electronics, audio, video, and lighting.
  • Support event audio/video setup as needed.
  • Usage and upkeep of basic electronics and connectivity.
  • Basic PC troubleshooting, i.e., hardware and software failures and network connectivity issues.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience with audiovisual tasks at a sports & entertainment venue is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Exhibits good interpersonal skills; collaborates with others; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations and personalities.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with strong customer service experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, remaining flexible in your role.
  • Knowledge and experience in Adobe CS, CC, or any photo and video editing software is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in MS Office applications.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
