Summary:
The Safety Tech will maintain a safe work environment while working for customers, site safety supervision, service and repair breathing air equipment, service and repair fire extinguisher.

Responsibilities of the Safety Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a safe work environment while working for customersย 
  • Site safety supervisionย 
  • Rig up and Rig down H2S equipmentย 
  • Service and repair breathing air equipmentย 
  • Service and repair fire extinguishersย 
  • Service and repair personal and rig monitor equipmentย 
  • High angle and confined space rescue trainingย 

Qualifications of the Safety Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Confined spaceย 
  • High Angle rope rescueย 
  • Hot work and permittingย 
  • Multi-gas monitorsย 
  • All aspects of job safetyย 
  • Acceptable driving recordย 
  • Class B Texas Fire Extinguisher license or ability to obtainย 
  • All "New Hires" are subject to a 90-day evaluation period

ย Additional Information:ย 

  • Physical Demand: Able to lift 50 lbs.ย 
  • Working Conditions: Ability to work in an industrial environment, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Training/Certifications: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Safety regulations in the oilfield. Must be able to obtain a Texas fire extinguishers license.ย 
  • Shift Time/Overtime: Ability to work 24 hours on call schedule with some weekends and overtime required.ย 
  • Education: High school diploma or GEDย
