Job description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026/2027 school year near Rio Rico, AZ. There are two positions available: a full-time district-wide Occupational Therapist covering four sites and a part-time Occupational Therapist for two days per week. Both roles enable you to make an impact by promoting students’ independence and functional participation in the school environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current, valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience providing OT services to children or adolescents in schools preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with educational staff, families, and students
  • Proficient in conducting assessments, developing IEP goals, and maintaining detailed documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services as per IEP requirements
  • Assess, plan, and implement intervention strategies to enhance student performance in academic and functional tasks
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support professionals across multiple school sites
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, progress reports, and necessary documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student progress and recommendations for classroom accommodations

Position Options:

  1. Full-time district-wide role (40 hours per week), supporting a caseload of approximately 60 students across 4 school sites.
  2. Part-time role (16 hours per week), with caseload and specific locations to be determined.
