MORA Adult Day Services provides an accessible, reliable, safe and affordable alternative day program for individuals with a disability. We are currently hiring for a part time Nursing Assistant (full time option may be available) who would be available work Monday-Friday from 9AM-2PM. This position supports clients involved in MORA Adult Day Services. Responsible for personal care needs, health and safety of the clients enrolled

Job Description

Assists clients with personal care needs

Assists clients with transfers and ambulation (with use of devices such as a gait belt, gait trainers, standers, mechanical lift or EZ stand) 

Assist with client needs during meal and snack times 

Ensures adequate supervision of clients

Immediately reports changes in client's condition or incidents to supervisor

Completes required documentation electronically 

Works with and shows respect for employees, supervisors, vendors and clients 

Communicates effectively with others at work verbally and in writing, using the primary spoken language of clients in the program

Administers medications without errors (as requested)

Demonstrates mastery of basic computer skills

Reads and follows company policies and procedures

Performs other duties as assigned



Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Successful completion of a nursing assistant training program 

Demonstrated experience assisting individuals with personal care needs

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred 

Proficient in basic computer skills

CPR certified and medication administration certification or ability to obtain upon hire

Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain "qualified" status

Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General

Must be able to successfully complete company's basic job skills assessments

Must have a current, valid driver's license, and must have insurance as required by state law
