We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our Alexandria/Kingstowne team in a Part-Time or PRN capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional who values patient-centered care, wellness, and work-life balance.

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive clinical care, patient counseling, and ongoing medical management for patients participating in our medically supervised weight loss program. We are seeking candidates with experience or interests in being trained in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). The ideal candidate is professional, collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about preventive medicine and lifestyle-focused healthcare.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Obtain and review patient medical and psychosocial histories relevant to treatment and care.

  • Perform physical examinations in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Order, review, and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, including ECGs.

  • Provide preventive medicine counseling, nutrition and program guidance, and education regarding supplements and products.

  • Prescribe medications in accordance with collaborative agreements and company protocols.

  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation related to patient care and medication management.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.

  • Coordinate referrals to specialists or additional healthcare services when necessary.

  • Conduct follow-up communication with patients regarding progress, concerns, and treatment adherence.

General Responsibilities
  • Participate in ongoing clinical training initiatives and assist with onboarding and mentoring medical staff.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, patient outcomes, and overall patient experience.

  • Support program development initiatives, including pilot launches for new services, products, and treatment programs.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills while contributing to team goals and strategic initiatives.

QualificationsRequired:
  • Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license

  • DEA Certification

  • Strong communication and patient education skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

Preferred:
  • Spanish-speaking ability

  • Experience in weight management, wellness, preventive medicine, endocrinology, or primary care

  • Interest in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
