What's the role?

Our Accounting Team Members are a key part of the CAS team, working with clients to provide support for bookkeeping, payroll, and QuickBooks, always ensuring compliance with GAAP and related tax rules and regulations. This includes:

  • Providing full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
  • Processing payrolls, including direct deposits, and generating monthly/quarterly/year-end statements.
  • Providing QuickBooks Online support and consulting, including training clients on managing their records in QB on an as-needed basis.
  • Supporting the client by providing a catch-up of the year's financial activity to produce the tax return.

Managing a book of business and delegating work to other CAS team members

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and process payroll for multiple clients 
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Recording, organizing, and maintaining financial data by posting information into QuickBooks Online accounting software from key source documents, including customer invoices, cash receipts, and vendor invoices
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in handling financial and business information.

  • Proven ability to multitask efficiently, managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates composure and professionalism in high-pressure or fast-paced environments, effectively handling stressful situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly in person, over the phone, and in written correspondence.

What will my schedule look like?

·         This role supports our office hours of Monday-Friday 8a-5p with a steady workflow. Positions starts out at part time with the potential of growing to fulltime, depending on your availability. Generally, overtime is not expected except during January and February when the CAS team works about 50 hours per week for year-end. Unlimited overtime is available January-March - May-September The office closes at noon on Fridays for summer hours.
