Pay Range $15 to $17 (DOE)
Job Summary:
The Facility Maintenance part-time position supports the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of company facilities and grounds by performing a variety of general maintenance, landscaping, and custodial duties. This position assists with routine facility upkeep, grounds maintenance, event setup, minor repairs, vehicle washing, and warehouse support while ensuring a safe, clean, and professional work environment. The role requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors, safely operate maintenance equipment, follow established safety procedures, and work cooperatively with management and team members to support daily operations.
Requisites
• Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
• Regular, part-time non-exempt position working up to 28 hours per week based on business needs.
• Must agree to (and pass) a background check, physical, and drug screening testing.
• Requires continuous safety and equipment training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and lifting.
• Observe and comply with AVC's rules, regulations, safety policies, and PPE requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to fifty pounds, climb, stoop, and reach; must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
Tasks and Work Activities
• Operate pressure washer to remove impurities from sidewalks, entrance areas, and stairs.
• Efficiently use blower equipment for debris and leaf cleanup.
• Wash and maintain company vehicles, including delivery to service facilities as needed.
• Maintain the appearance of front entrances, reception, and shop areas.
• Trim bushes, shrubs, hedges, and other landscaped areas to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Remove weeds, leaves, litter, trash, and debris from company grounds and exterior work areas.
• Assist with minor painting, touch-up work, basic repairs, and facility improvement projects under direction.
• Move furniture, equipment, materials, supplies, and other items as directed.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleanup for corporate functions and events in breakrooms and conference rooms.
• Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers to coordinate maintenance and cleaning schedules.
• Proficiency in English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition, with strong communication skills in speaking, listening, reading comprehension and writing.
• Use of maintenance and janitorial tools including pressure washers, blowers, trimmers, ladders, and hand tools.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Refer to the Employee Handbooks for PPE requirements.
