This is a Part-Time Position: Monday - Friday (10:30am - 2:30pm or as needed)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides service to all new and existing accounts according to bank policies and procedures. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
    • Cashing checks in accordance with financial institution procedures, ensures that funds are appropriately disbursed and collected and completes Hold Notices if needed.
    • Processing deposits and withdrawals to savings, checking accounts, and lines of credit.
    • Transferring money between accounts.
    • Processing transactions such as term deposits, retirement savings plan contributions, automated teller transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits.
    • Assisting customers with Debit Card orders/maintenance.
    • Processing loan payments amp; payoffs.
    • Issuing cashier’s checks
    • Making cash advances on credit cards
    • Balance and maintain the ATM as assigned or required.
    • Processing customer transactions efficiently, professionally, and accurately.
  • Answers basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Balances cash drawer at end of shift (Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary).
  • Buys, sells, and assists with currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that cash drawer limits are not exceeded.
  • Complies with policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations and obtains necessary approvals and authorizations.
  • Demonstrates awareness, commitment, and dedication to servicing customers and building customer franchise by contributing to sales referrals and cross selling programs by possessing working knowledge of all products and services offered by Millennium Bank.
  • Knowledgeable of various Federal Regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Regulation E, Regulation CC, etc. and the Universal Banker’s roles and responsibilities relating to each act.
  • Participates in cross-training and sales, service and product training meetings as requested.
  • Proficient in the account opening process for all deposit accounts, including, but not limited to: savings, checking, money market, and business accounts.
  • Refers difficult customer interactions/complaints/special needs to the appropriate person in a professional manner.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to prioritize and makes on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud.
  • Ability to provide professional responsive customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective communications in working with officers, co-workers, the public, and vendors.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and basic knowledge of accounting principles/function.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS amp; TRAINING:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year banking experience preferred
  • 2+ years of cash handling and customer service preferred
  • Previous experience working directly with the public preferred
