Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Nursing Assistant / Medication Technician (NA/Med Tech) to join our Assisted Living team on a Part-Time, Night Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) basis.

In this dual-role capacity, you will administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, while also providing essential hands-on assistance to our Assisted Living residents during the overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Safely pass and document medications and treatments according to physician orders, state regulations, and community policies.

  • Direct Resident Care: Assist Assisted Living residents with personal care needs, including mobility, hygiene, and nighttime comfort routines.

  • Observation & Safety: Perform regular nightly checks and rounds, monitor resident physical and mental well-being, and promptly report any condition changes or emergency needs to the supervisor on duty.

  • Call Bell Responsiveness: Promptly answer resident call lights and assist with unscheduled overnight needs.

  • Documentation & Coordination: Maintain clean, accurate medication administration records (MAR) and care logs; participate in shift hand-offs to ensure seamless continuity of care between day and night teams.

Qualifications
  • Certification: Valid Med Tech / Medication Aide certification recognized in South Carolina (or CNA/Nurse Aide certification with Med Tech endorsement).

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Med Tech or Caregiver in an Assisted Living or Memory Care setting is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and a genuine passion for senior care.

  • Reliability: Excellent attendance record and ability to work overnight shifts independently and responsibly.
