Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Part-Time / PRN

Compensation: $45.00 โ€“ $50.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, PRN
Schedule: Flexible, part-time
Location: North Atlanta & surrounding areas

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role focuses on providing high-quality wound care servicesโ€”including wound VAC managementโ€”to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, dependable, and able to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team.

Responsibilities

  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
  • Diagnose and establish individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians and specialists regarding patient care
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families
  • Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
  • Assist the Director of Nursing as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous nursing experience required
  • Strong Wound Care skills, including wound VAC management
  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and families
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a home-care environment
  • Ability to train RNs and Nursing Assistants

Preferred & Additional Skills

  • Interventions Therapy experience
  • PALS Certification
  • Pediatric experience
  • Advanced wound care experience
  • Wound VAC expertise

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)

Experience

  • Home Health: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Registered Nurse: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Wound VAC Care: 3 years (Required)

Language

  • English (Required)

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required)
  • BLS Certification (Required)
