Bach To Rock (โ€œB2Rโ€) Americaโ€™s Music School for students of all ages is currently seeking a Music Teacher to work as a part-time employee providing music classes to young children primarily, as well as older children in private lessons, group lessons, camps and bands.

Early Childhood Teachers at Bach to Rock create a fun, educational and safe environment for children to explore the world of music. This job is a perfect fit for those interested in the musical & educationalย development of young children. Patient musicians with a flair for comedy/ drama that enjoy playing music games, reading stories and inspiring young children - this is your perfect fit.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead B2Rโ€™s early childhood classes (Rock n Roll, Rock City, Fun With Music and/or Kids n Keys)
  • Be able to relate/ communicate with parents of students successes in lessons and challenges in working with students who may have various obstacles in maintaining focused behavior
  • Prepare for and deliver instruction using the Bach to Rock detailed lesson plans and activities
  • Create a warm and welcoming class environment in which young children can feel safe
  • Use the recommendations in the B2R curriculum to encourage and educate caregivers that attend class with their toddlers
  • Assist at B2R events, help promote the B2R school and curriculum at events we host and help support in the community.

Requirements:ย 

  • Be willing to help with program quality monitoring and able to talk with management about areas of improvement and building a program through multi-channel strategies - Incentive program available for motivated individuals.
  • Focus on Fun with a high comfort level in directing 3-8 children to meet musical goals.
  • Must feel comfortable in an active and noisy setting
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to keep a group of students engaged
  • Comfortable working and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalitiesย 
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of basic music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts in a developmentally appropriate and age appropriate manner with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.ย 
  • Ability to interact effectively with both children and adults
  • Must play a musical instrument โ€“ piano, keys, or guitar preferredย 
  • Must be ableย to sing a cappella (unaccompanied)
  • Must demonstrate the ability to run basic sound equipment and computers
  • Ability to pass a background check
