Position Available: Part-time Music Teacher- Elementary School, Grades TK-4th

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 10:30am- 3:30pm
At Action Day Elementary School, we believe music is an essential part of a well-rounded education and a powerful way to inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression. We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Music Teacher to lead engaging, hands-on music instruction for students in grades TK-4. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive classroom where students develop a lifelong appreciation for music through singing, movement, instruments, and performance.

In this role, you'll plan and deliver engaging lessons in general music, choir, recorder, ukulele, rhythm and movement, and music appreciation while preparing students for assemblies and special performances throughout the school year. You'll collaborate closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to create meaningful learning experiences, foster strong relationships with students and families, and support the academic, social-emotional, and creative growth of every child. If you're an organized, collaborative educator with strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring young musicians, we'd love to hear from you!

Compensation: $35-45/hr. depending on individual experience, education and position requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience teaching elementary music (TK-4) required
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music, Education, or a related field highly preferred
  • Experience teaching general music, choir, recorder, ukulele, rhythm & movement, and music appreciation, with piano proficiency for classroom accompaniment
  • Experience preparing students for concerts, performances, and school assemblies, with strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Passion for inspiring young learners through engaging, inclusive, and creative music instruction
  • A collaborative, reliable, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills and a willingness to support the school community
