As a Home Inspector, you will play a crucial role in helping home buyers make informed decisions about their potential investment. Your expertise in construction inspection and quality control will ensure that clients have a comprehensive understanding of the condition of the property they are considering. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential and or commercial properties to assess their condition and identify any potential issues or defects
  • Inspect various systems and components of the home, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, structural elements, among others
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to perform inspections and accurately document findings within 24 hours
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports that clearly outline any observed deficiencies or concerns
  • Communicate inspection findings to clients in a professional and informative manner
  • Provide recommendation of contractor types for repairs or maintenance based on inspection results
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance during inspections

Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid and current (or currently working towards) state issued Home Inspectors license if required by the state
  • You must be willing to achieve your Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential through InterNACHI or have passed the National Home Inspectors Exam (NHIE) if you're in an unlicensed state.
  • Must be able to stand, crawl in tight crawl spaces, walk, climb ladders, climb and walk on roofs, and lift 25 pounds
  • Cell phone with data plan and willingness to learn how to operate a drone (if interested)
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
  • Clean background (federal and state)
  • Effective communication skills to clearly convey inspection findings to clients
  • Must not be scared of crawlspaces (tight spaces) or roofs (heights).
  • Must have or be willing to carry General Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in coverage (costs around $32 a month)

This job is excellent for employees who want to make the most of their time. You will get paid per job completed. This allows you to do 1 inspection per day for your first 15 inspections. Then you can do 2 a day for the first year. After year one you can choose to do 3 full home inspections per day. Depending on your availability and needs. This can be a perfect part-time to full-time position. You do get to craft your own schedule. You are paid weekly with no hold back time frame. We are perfectly comfortable hiring inexperienced, but credentialed home inspectors.
